Detox Smoothie for Optimal Recovery

This is one of my favorite recipes for any time I am feeling really sluggish or have had time off from my regular routine. The Supergreens powder I use is from Ancient Nutrition. There are numerous brands on the market you can choose from. Look for the "alkalizing" language to make sure you are getting the right kind. Moringa powder is from a plant and has excellent antioxidant properties.

This quick fix for detoxing from an extravagant trip or consecutive weekend weddings will get you right back on track. It also tastes like a Pina Colada! 

Ingredients
  • 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk (oat milk, coconut milk or coconut water also work)
  • 1 handful of alkalizing supergreens (spinach, kale, or a supergreens powder)
  • 1 ripe avocado
  • 1/2 cup pineapple
  • 2 tbsp shredded coconut
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
  • 1 teaspoon of moringa powder
  • 1/2 ripe banana
  • 1 cup ice (optional)
Instructions
  1. Add fruit, avocado, and almond milk to a blender and blend until creamy. Add other ingredients and blend to complete recipe.
